They are certainly hard to come by. I just spent 3 months looking and finally found one in Coloumbia. My advice would be to also look at people selling a jon boat, motor and trailer and offer to by just the motor. I was surprised about how many of the people I contacted were willing to sell just the motor. I did however have a hard time finding one in good condition at a fair price. Good luck!

I have an old 18 Evinrude that I will sell. Bought the motor to go on a john boat I kept in our creek. Lost the boat about 1 month later in the tornado we had out here on Johns Island. Got paperwork and title from previous owner,but never had it retitled. It is electric and pull start with tiller steering.
