Looking to get my montauk completely restored this winter. . .I’ll be doing all the wood work/fiberglass work, but I want to get the boat COMPLETELY REWIRED, PROFESSIONALLY. I’d like some recomendations on a company or individual that I can trust to do an extremely good job. I basically want the boat to be up to brand new standards with basically all wiring to be new, neat, and reliable. I am willing to pay good money as long as the work is up to snuff. I am not looking for a handyman-electrician working out of his truck. . I’d like to take it to a shop and get the COMPLETE job done right this time. Thanks guys.

I use insulated pretinned wired I get from wholesale electronics downtown, and solder all connections when I wired up my dads old boat and trailer.
I’ve got spools of that wire at work too, from the many years of wiring up cop bikes and marine patrol trailers.
I also use the epoxy type heat shrink tubing that seals, over the soldered connections.
My dad had wiring issues on both of his boats, after paying several boat docs and shops a ton of money a few times over and still not having things work right I found time to take care of it for him… he didn’t try the two mentioned here though, hopefully they are much better…
for now my boat’s under warranty, I shouldn’t have to touch it yet… but when it comes time it’ll be me doing it, nobody runs things like you would… good luck with it and post the results
