Before running off to buy a new one, looking to see if anyone wanting to get rid of a smaller caliber deer rifle for the wife to see if she even likes it. don’t matter if its ugly or old, just not a cannon and still safe to shoot. open to all reasonable calibers and price. happy huntin!

If you have not found one yet I would recommend a new Caliber (at least to me) 30TC by Thompson Center. I got it as a gift. Kicks like a .243 but better ballistic than a .308
I would suggest 243 or even 260REM.
Many a deer killed around here with a 22-250 even…
