Looking for some red peanuts to boil....

Anybody got a line on a couple bushels of Spanish Reds? I can find plenty of the jumbo white ones, but cannot seem to locate the smaller red ones.

Thx

Just go buy from Timbo’s on hwy 61. Best peanutz in town.

They are typically early season, out of Florida. Right now all we get are the jumbo white peanuts. I’m with you though, I prefer the Spanish reds to the jumbo also.

What Tigerfin said. I don’t know of any Spanish available right now. Just local Whites.

I actually enjoy the Whites better than the spanish.

The red skins aren’t ready here either. Probably a couple more weeks before they start rolling those.

Bought a nice buchel of reds at the Savannah farmers market yesterday. They almost always have them but they are never out and they act secretive when you specifically ask for the reds. They are around the corner or in the cooler. $60 a buchel or $2/lb.

Got 1 bushel Ga. Jumbos and Sweet Ga. Runners, they look like nice and clean peanuts.

Severts Produce, Columbia State Farmers Market. $45/bu and they have the red skin and jumbo almost everyday. Call ahead to make sure they have them. 803-256-1721

Limehouse Produce has plenty of them, usually year round. They are dried, so they take longer to boil. They are $56 for a 50# bag, yeilds aprox 125#s of boiled peanuts. I bought 4 bags from them the past 3 weeks.

One Simple Thanks!!
