Keeping my fingers, toes, eyes crossed to try for Saturday. I have friends coming in from out of town. Anyone else heading out?
Just my opinion but I would wait a day check reefcast.

Remember, the great forecasters are wrong more than they are right (at least it seems that way to me). And when they are wrong, it is usually to the bad side. So, if it is an iffy forecast to begin with, and they miss it…![]()
I must be getting older, because I have no desire to “white knuckle” it as much as I used to! ![]()

Offshore Fishing Rules
- You can not plan an offshore trip based on days off and friends coming into town.
- You have to plan your trips based on weather conditions, seastate and nothing else.
- Sometimes even then conditions change rapidly and usually not for the better.
- You have to go fish when the conditions are right and not when it’s convenient. Whether it’s Monday or Wednesday or Saturday, you have to go then if you want to offshore fish.
- If your friends are not that flexible, find more friends that are.
- If you’re not that flexible, buy a flats boat.
Seriously, Saturday is not the day. Sunday will be better but Monday will probably be the day to fish this week.

Man, the weather can really be a bummer. I had good success with the sheeps just at 7 miles out 5 weeks ago there has not been one good day since. I feel for you guys with the big boats that can go out and catch the good fish only when the weather will allow. We just seem to have high winds and high seas all the time now.

DownandOut, what site does the above forecast come from? I normally use NOAA and wavecast. Just wondering.

Stormsurf says the same. Crappy through the weekend and into the first of the week.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Been here for a week. Got tired of waiting for decent weather so went out yesterday. So many white caps out there that I thought I was on snow. Needed to find something to do to beat the boredom so I ordered a vacuflush rebuild kit. If the weather gonna be, you know, I might as well finish this week off right.

Bring your helmet and mouth piece…looks a little bumpy…
That pretty much made up my mind. I was hopeful, but not getting my butt kicked or risking lives just to fish. Thanks everyone.

I could not agree more… I have family in Charlotte NC and they will NEVER come when I say " Be here this weekend, This IS THE weekend to fish" and they ALWAYS say " we will come next week"!!! It simply doesnt workout
