Never heard of them myself but their rods look good. i like the idea of the leviathan having a 9 weight tip and 11 weight butt. definitely the right price
Why not? I think that reel is one I looked at during an inshore show a couple years ago. If so, I was impressed but didn’t need a new reel. Especially if you are going to use it for inshore fishing it really is more of a line holder than anything else.
Let us know how it performs. Bout time for some new blood (products)!

Hoke,
I agree. They look pretty solid. Might be an upstart that performs. Just trying to find out if anyone has a say on them.

I have the crgII with a tradewinds blue on a 10 wt. The reels hold a ton of backing. Pretty good craftmanship.
Lifetime warranty.
They are trying the direct to consumer gig. If you are going to buy one, go to ebay, they had them there pretty cheap.
Chris.
the drags are suppose to be awesome. There are several guides in the keys using them as client rods for tarpon.
I am going to try to hook a jack on mine this year. I will let you know.

I concur. I’d also like to try one of those new hardy Zane reels.

I don't care where a product is made. I do care if a company is trying to mislead me. If you see a Hardy reel, let me know if it has a sticker that says, "Made in Korea" on it. They are an old English company that may be less English now.

Had to go back a bit and find this topic but I just received in the mail a Colton Tradewinds 9 ft 7wt 4 piece. I was eyeballing a few of them on ebay for awhile and well, had way too many beers one night and ordered one. The rod is the coolest blue color i’ve ever seen on a fly rod. I think I’m going to pair it with a green Ross Evolution LT. I really don’t need a 7 weight, especially trout fishing out here in the Rockies, but what the hell, should be nice next time I’m back in the salt. The only downside was after reading on the colton website, they say if you purchase one on ebay it isn’t covered by the lifetime warranty. I guess i’ll cross that bridge when I get to it… Taking it for a test cast tomorrow!
