Met up with EJ and 3 1/2 yo Jack Davis last evening with the hopes of getting Jack his first striper. Got lines in the water about 6:30 and thing weren’t looking good as we went without a bite for about the first hour. Things picked up though and we picked up a few in the last 30 min before hanging it up at dark about 8.
Pulled bait around points/shoals in about 15’-25’.
Not much size to them, but had a great time on a beautiful evening with hardly any boats on the water at all.
A slow day to many, but to have Jack Davis “catch” his first 2 stripers, a fish that I’m happily addicted to made this evening on Tim’s skiff one I’ll remember for a long time.
Tim is a gracious host and knows not only how to catch fish, but can make a 3year old enjoy what we all do.
Forever grateful for that time spent.

Went out with Rod this eve and only picked up 3 again. Again, just before/right after dark. 1 24" keeper and a couple of shorts. Got them all in about 20 min and thought they were going to turn on, but got the last one about 8:00 and then fished another hour+ without a fish. Casting plugs on points.
