Los Suenos Costa Rica Report

The March Los Suenos tournament ended Saturday with 42 boats fishing 3 days. There were a total number of 783 billfish released with 56 of those being marlin. Fortunately, we took second place overall on the “Miss Behavin” with 3 marlin (2 blues / 1 stripey) and 23 sailfish. For those of you who fished some of the first Governor’s Cup tournaments, the “Miss Behavin” is the old “Mad Dogs and Englishmen” - 58’ Garlington. She still raises the heck out of fish.

How is that resort? We are planning another fishing trip to Mexico this year, and Los Suenos was one we were thinking about!

Sorry! I tend to forget the difference sometimes. By the way congrats on 2nd place Marlin!

Los Suenos is gorgeous! Check out their website at www.losseunosresort.com.

If you want to fish, you get what you pay for in terms of boats. I recommend you call David at 713-443-6853. His boat is $2500 a day with one of the best crews in the country.

If you want a more Costa Rican experience, fish out of Los Suenos and then head South to Quepos / Manuel Antonio for the real deal.

dennis wasnt that the haskins old boat from the nineties?

I am pretty sure it is. The Mann engines were rebuilt late last year by my buddy that owns the boat now. She looks and runs like a brand new boat even though she was built in 1988.
