Been down and fished out of Quepos. Looking to stay around the Jaco area. We caught plenty of fish in Quepos and enjoyed it. Just don’t wanna go that far south this time. Don’t need a 50’ rig. Would prefer an express boat a bit more affordable. Any suggestions. .?
We’ve stayed at Los Suenos a few times for a week each time. It is VERY nice! My wife loves it. So do I. You can rent a nice condo for less the price of a US hotel room. The grounds are fabulous, the restaurants are great, can’t go wrong there. The marina is better than anything I’ve seen in the states, first class all the way. And the Mariott Hotel has a real nice casino.
Fishing is fantastic. They have many sizes of boats available and they all catch fish. We don’t have big bucks or a lot of people so we usually charter a 25’ center console. We’ve always used http://www.costaricadreams.com/ They have a boat size for everybody.
The town of Jaco truly has something for everybody. EVERYBODY There are 6 charter fishing companies on every block, be real careful of those. There are also 6 prostitutes and drug dealers on every block. Be real careful of those too[:0]
I highly recommend Los Suenos, but only recommend Jaco as an afternoon adventure, or an evening of wildness. Is the Beetle Bar still open? It was the largest and best cat houses in Central America. Unreal[:0]

Yeah…I spent some time in Jaco, and am familiar with it’s ins and outs. .ha
