losing fuel prime

I have a 150 yamaha on a 2100 sea pro and I am losing prime on my fuel line . If I unhook the line on the motor side of the bulb and I can pump fuel so I dont think its the bulb . It seems there may be a check valve of some sort after the filter on the motor. It only does it idling or while the motor is not running . I was wondering if I have a sticking check valve some where . Any suggestions ? I think its something simple I just cant figure it out .

just because you can pump fuel, doesnt mean the fuel isnt leaking past teh check ball in the primer bulb.

if the primer bulb is going soft with the motor not running, the fuel has to be leaking back into the tank, or out of the motor.
replace the bulb with a yamaha, OMC, mecury, or sierra bulb
do NOT use a tempo, attwood, or moeller bulb

Ok that makes sense . I will try a new bulb and see if that will fix the problem . thanks
