Lost a buddy

We had to put our little Chili Dog down this morning. He turned 9 last month. He’s had back problems for the past two years and this week was the clincher. He couldn’t walk or even support himself on his back legs. We decided it was the best thing to do and end his suffering.
Good bye Chili Dog, we love you and miss you.

Bob, so sorry we have to go through that. They are the best buddy’s, when they are here! Chilli Dog, will be waiting for you, when you walk through his door.

Sorry for your loss.he is no longer suffering and will be waiting for you.

Man Bob, I am real sorry to hear that. My brother and SIL have dachshunds and they all have their own personalities. I know you’ll miss the little guy.

That hurts…I think losing a pet is one of the hardest things we go through.

RIP Chili Dog.

Yeah, he was one of our children. Like losing a member of the family. We still have two others, Roscoe and Porkchop. Of the three, Chili Dog was the smallest, but he was definitely the alpha male boss. The other boys seem kind of lost without him. Me too!! I’m going to miss the little sh**.
Thanks everybody.

Sorry for you Bob. Loosing pets is almost like loosing family. It’s a shame God didn’t build a dog to live 80 years like people. I hope to have a whole pack of them waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge, hoping the same for you.

quote:
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together…

Sorry for you Bob! I know what you mean about them becoming like our kids, in a way they are for us empty nesters. You did the right thing to end his suffering.

Truly sorry and saddened for your loss. I remember meeting those little guys when you repaired my tanks. Cool dogs.
