Lots of Prayers needed

Just got through exchanging texts with fellow MSC member Joey Smoak to find out that he is in Minnesota with his daughter Lauren who is to have her pancreas and spleen removed tomorrow. This is a 12 hour procedure with a recovery time of 8 weeks out there and a year at home to fully recover. Please keep Lauren and the entire family in your prayers and if I receive updates I will keep you all informed.

Joey our prayers are with you Lauren and your family. No pain is harder than feeling the pain of one of your children. God will see you all thru this.

Likewise Joey… We will be praying for a smooth surgery and quicker than expected recovery for Lauren.

Indeed. Prayers lifted up in abundance for Lauren and your entire family Joey!

I’m also praying for Lauren and the Smoak family. I know they have had a really tough time trying to assess and treat her condition.

I’ve spent about 85% of my life’s wages on fishing, the rest I just wasted…

Joey know that we have been praying for Lauren and your family. I shared this with my prayer group and entire church family and they are busy praying as i type. I know that your faith is strong and that you guys are trusting in God.

Hi to All,
Thanks for all the prayers. The doctors say the surgery went well and we will be in ICU at least through Monday. Lauren will have a long recovery period so keep the prayers coming. I hope to be home the Saturday after Thanksgiving but Lauren and my wife Chris will most likely be here until January.
God Bless,
Joey

Meant to tell you all good luck tomorrow Wish you all the best.

More importantly Joey best wishes to you and your family. Fishing is fun but family is what is important. I hope all goes well.
