just spoke to the same captain and it seems that the dolphin bite was on today. he said they found some warm water waaaaay out, 68 mile to be exact. long ride and nearly 400 gallons of fuel. you do the math @ nearly 4 bucks a gallon… ouch. oh well atleast they put a few in the gloo for the paying customers.

no, just a buddy of mine thats not into “internet chatting” so i am keeping him anonymous out of respect. im sure if he heard i was talking about him on CF he would more than likely give my a bunch of chit. he’s very old school and tight lipped about fishing in general, unlike me who likes to blab about most everything.
i have waaaay to much computer time on my hands bc im with the kids(4&6) a lot(wife works at night) and they have friends next door that they play with everyday so its either stare at the tv or talk chit on fishing sites. when they get older i will start taking them in the boat more often but i dont want to force it on them and they end up having a bad experience and not want to go later in life. kids dont forget bad experiences when they are young. hopefully when they are older they will enjoy it more and want to go. had a good friend try to force his son into surfing too early and now he wont go and it kills him. just biding my time and trying to play it smart. we do lots of things outside the house but when they are here they are playing w/ their friends which is fine. thats what i did as a kid.

I am in that same vessel with you. wife works every saturday. two kids 1 and 4. I can take my four year old, but it requires constant supervision so really you need another hand just to watch him. I did get him to sleep in my front dry storage in one of those plastic storage containers with a few throw pfds for about two hours whilst fishin last summer.
I jsut didnt think catchin dolphin in April in charleston was much of a secret for anyone no matter how old school. Now if you were tellin the numbers or something like that I might understand him get his panties up in a wad, but just his name and boat I would think he would like the props
