Put in at Sol Legare and was going to head down to a creek but with 20kt winds and 1-2 foot waves, it was miserable going. The revo powered through it ok, but very very wet ride and pretty lomesome if something went wrong. Im brave, but I try to avoid stupid, so I turned around and peddled my butt back to the launch, again, no fish, sigh.

Picked up the new Hobie today and decided to give it a try inspite of the wind. Like the Revolution but will take a little while to get used to. It powers through the wind without much effort but is not as stable as my WS Ride 135. Need to figure out how to fix the seat where it does not keep sliding out of position. Was nice being able to paddle and fish at the same time.

Welcome to the club! Post pics of your mods as you do them ( I need to as well).
Regarding the seat, the plugs need to be pushed down hard, either with your thumb or the end of a pole or something, once you do that the seat doesnt slide around, I had the same problem first day too till i read about that. If you just put the plugs in the holes they arent firmly seated.
We should make some time to go fishing together. Im about all set up now, just need a minnow trap (got a cast net) and to decide on what I want to use in the rear well as a cooler. The igloo 25 marine is tempting, but so are the softpack types or the crate one with the rod holders on the back.
Let me know if you have questions, I dont have a ton of answers but Im out on it almost everyday, and yeah, being able to make it through vicious wind is nice.

Also bought the live well and stakeout pole. On the ride used to keep my crate with the rod holders in back but now need to figure out a couple different ways to set things up.

Oooooh, the Hobie Livewell with rodholders on it? Very nice, thats on my “when i got spare money again” list to get.
For now my order of purchase is Sailing Rudder (susposed to make it a new boat all around), ST Turbo fins, Anchor Trolley system. I do need some sorta cooler/crate in the back, maybe the Igloo marine 25 qt, but just using a cheapo flowthur bait bucket for now.
Let me know if your rudder seems off, mine was a *$&$#%^# to get up and down but just figured out how to adjust them easily.
If this storm moves on at noon like its susposed to I plan on hitting the water. And if my cast net skills are as badly deteriorated as I think, I might hit it more than I mean to…
