Seen it with Oysters and Crab Legs before might add a different twang with some Clam Juice when they open a little, as long as they’re cooked wouldn’t see a problem with it

Got some fresh clams & mussels today & they are in mesh bag in cooler on top of ice…is that OK???

That should be fine. Make sure you check the ice and add more as needed. I am also doing a boil for the superbowl, but no clams or mussels for us. Let me know how it turns out may try it that way in the future.
