low speed miss

2003 Yamaha runs rough at low speeds, but comes up on plane easily, runs great at higher speeds. It’s a carburetrd 2 stroke. Any ideas?

when in doubt run a can of sea foam through it first.can work miracles

Already did that, no difference.

try another can!

What make engine?

A lot of engines will have a problem with a little scale, trash, anything on that low speed jet. Drain the bowls of the carbs and catch it. Put it in a glass jar and check it for anything in it.
Next, pull the low speed jet itself. If you need to right down info so you can put them back the same way then do it. (I do all the time) Turn the jet all the way in and be very careful about not over tightening, count the number of turns and parts of turns. Back them out and inspect them, clean in carb cleaner, DO NOT sand or file them. Flush the seats, I have used canned air to blow them out, look at them with a good light. If everything looks smooth even and clean, put it back together.

If this doesn’t help, it maybe time to find a mechanic.
