Same HDI unit with new Navionics+ charting software installed. Navionics discontinied the “Gold” version of the charting software so Lowrance had to repackage the HDI with the upgraded Navionics+.

Right, same unit repackaged with the new Navionics+ charts. I run the Navionics+ charts and it’s an excellent deal. Perfect for me and my travel. It has all the lakes, coastal charts, sonar charts for the US and Canada. All you have to do is download which areas you want and you are good to go. Nice setup.
Also, take a look at the Raymarine Dragonfly bundles with Navionics+. They have some great deals going on with spring coming up. Love mine.
You can’t go wrong either way. Both are good units.
Like the Lowrance Insight version electronic charting Insight Pro V16 & Insight East Coast HD V15) better than Navionics. Everyone see the new buoy symbols & daymarks Navionics (French Company) is using. Not the same as US-NOAA mapping “approved” symbols. Navionics does not have the ICW “Magenta” Line (centerline of the ICW) shown. I think Insight has better countour line detail. Funny Lowrance is packaging thier units with Navionics but has thier own mapping software
