Lowrance Fishing Hotspots Vs Navionics Hotmaps

Has anyone made a head to head comparison of the two? Given the $100 differience between the Lowrance Elite chip & the hot maps premium, I am considering the Lowrance, but if there is a huge differience, I will probably bite the bullet & get the Navionics. I realize hartwell isn’t on the lowrance chip, however I seriously doubt that I will be doing much fishing up that way, I am typically on murray (and live there), so it is my primary concern.

I have the Hotspots cartridge & the detail for Lake Murray is excellent. It also has seasonal tips for specific spots on the lake. If you don’t really need the Hartwell map I would highly recommend the hotspots map.

thanks for the info, that’s what I was hoping to hear.

auto, I have Navionics Gold and use it for Hartwell & Russell. It is very good and everything seems right on the mark. What really is a pain in the butt is that I had purchase the SE region which is from GA down so I get no help on the rest of SC Lakes from my chip.
