If you have any of the HDS units there is a great update to the system that I only found out about on accident! The GPS pings every 2 seconds now instead of 10, you can capture a screenshot by pressing the pages and light button simultaneously now! The screen its self is much more detailed and all kinda stuff! Some of you may have already updated yours but if you havent you should! Best part is it’s FREE!
The instructions are simple as pie too! Just make sure you unzip/extract it and copy it to your card correctly or the unit will not see it and update , talking from experience here lol! Good luck and let me know if you have issues maybe I could help!

Thanks Stump! Lowrance didn’t send me any notice on the update. I did get an update notice a while ago and am wondering if it is the same one? Have to check that out!
I didn’t get an email either but I probably repeatedly ‘unsubscribed’ to all of those emails so I know it’s my own doiing! But it is a great upgrade all around cause I never even knew of the 2.0 much less the 2.1 LOL! Maybe oneday soon I will upgrade my nav chip too…maybe lol

Hey, SN, thanks for the heads up…I have a Gen 2 Touch and when I checked the software version it was 1.4…I downloaded the new software and installed it without a hitch…as info, one capability of the new software allows you to view a .pdf file. This capability allows you to down load the manual and any addendums for the unit on a SD card, put the card in the unit and let’s you view the .pdf info on the screen…really handy for some of the functions you don’t use too often to refresh your memory.

Upgrade 2.1 downloaded and done ( at least I thnk so).
Any one have the wifi. Thought it would be great to see the screen from my iPhone when I go forward. Thought it was a little less great when I saw the module was $230.
