Hey all you guys out there with an hds, I’ve been looking into a new sonar unit and I am thinking about getting the HDS7 gen 2 touch unit with built in structure scan. I already have a 50/200Hz transducer from my old lms337c and am wondering if the connectors are the same or not? If so I may just order the head unit and buy a structure scan transducer at a later date. Maybe somebody already ran into this issue.

It has the blue connector on the transducer like the new ones, I am still hoping it will be the same saving me lots of time on install.

I emailed Lowrance to ask the same question and here’s their reply:
Yes, the HDS-7 Gen2 Touch will use the same transducer and power cable as teh LMS-337c. The Touch units have a built in antenna so you will no longer need the external antenna. Yes, you can but just the head unit now and use the existing cables then purchase the structure scan transducer later.
