I am very seriously considering one of the Lowrance HDS units for radar and Sirius weather but am concerned about the integrated GPS antenna funtioning well under a hardtop. Anybody have one of these and if so how does it work? Thanks in advance.

I have the HDS 7 and love it. I have the side scan on order, will be delivered late this month. I do not have a hard top but if is a problem you can install an external ant. I think you will be ok with the internal ant. because I play with mine with the boat parked under my house. Works great on the water also.
We can get side scan usally the next day or so.

I have been thinking the same thing. But I want to phase in the HDS. I have a Lowrance FF/GPS. and a Raymarine GPS/Radar. Still trying to figure out how I might do it (uh and pay for it)
