Lowrance Hot Spot Maps

I’m new at the Lowrance mapping etc and was surprised that Lakes Greenwood and Murray weren’t already on my unit. How do I go about getting these lakes added to my unit do these maps even exist for these two lakes?

I’m not sure about any of the built in mapping on Lowrance, but you may want to look into using a Navionics chip. Great detail and both lakes are on there…as well as many others in SC. Their website gives a complete listing of all the lakes on there. Note SC in on the “East” version of their maps…not “South”.

Navionnics Hotmaps East Edition is the chip I use. I’m not sure they produce them anymore; however, the Gold and Premium should work just fine. I also have the Navionics app on my Iphone. It’s pretty accurate, but the contours are not quite as accurate as the chip. Still not bad for a phone:smiley:

Navionics East Edition Premium is what you want. 1’ contours for lakes Murray and Greenwood.

So this is where yall are naming the lake sections from. Like Z4 and so on?

When u see coordinates like that they are coming from the MSC club map… each member gets a map with their membership.

U should be able to pick one up at the meetings or they can email it to you.

That’s correct David. I don’t know if I have to be voted in or anything but yes I did pay my dues. I thought about hitting Murray Monday morning and see what I can do. I’ve only been on that lake 3 times so I’m learning what “not” to do right now.
