Installing my son’s Lowrance HDS7 on a jon boat.
Mounted and wired up. Hit the power, it chirps, the logo comes on for about 1 sec. then goes out. None ld the 12v polarity be reversed?
POSSIBLE ; BUT ALSO CHECK FOR LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE AND SOLID CONNECTIONS

Did not think to check the voltage… Will do.
Not sure of the brightness levels. Will have to check also…

Checked voltage- just off charge @ 12.7. Some connections looked a little corroded. Will clean. Will also check the batteries a day after charge.

If it’s on night mode… and brightness down low can be almost impossible to see
It was a connection issue. Cleaned all connectors and re-tightened the connectors. All’s good.
