My unit just flashes 32 degrees. Anyone have any clue if there is anything a can do beside buy a new transducer?

Check the connector to the transducer and spray it with contact cleaner.

I kinda have the same problem mines the LMS 520 .and and after fishing forgot to turn it off out of the water for about 30 minutes… next trip out the depth just flashes and wouldn’t show the bottom. I changed transducers same thing. Could it be cause I left it on out of water

LMS 520 Reset Instructions
Reset Options
This command is used to reset all features, options and settings to their
original factory defaults. This is useful when you have changed several
settings and want to return the unit to basic automatic operation.
If you ain’t hooked, you ain’t doing it right.

Mine is reading water at about 35* when it’s really 52*.
I need to look further into what’s going on.

I am going to try both option as soon as I get time to get back in the boat.
Thanks for the input

Well the reset did not work.
I tried to get the connector off but I could not get it off. Then it started raining on me, so it will have to wait.
What was odd is that when I turn the unit on I could hear a clicking noise coming from it. As soon as I did the reset. It stopped and did not return. But the temp still flashes 32.0

That connector is probably just corroded bad enough that its not making contact anymore. That would explain why you couldn’t get it off. When you do get it off, check to make sure all the pins are still in good shape and clean them with contact cleaner, then put some dielectric grease on it before you hook it back up. That should fix it If the pins aren’t broken or corroded past the point of no return.
