Looking for an decent depth finder in the under $200 price range. The 5X Pro is 199, the 5X is 159. Anyone have either one? Plan on using it nearshore, inshore and on the lakes. Any opinions on either one or better sugestions.
I have the 5x which has the single frequency , the Pro model has the dual which is better for deep water ~ 1000’ . If you read some reviews you will see good and bad . I like mine for the money . It shows bait and arches good , reads going down the lake , has a temp built in . I would suggest the 5X instead of the Pro for what you will be doing . Simple to use to me .
If you want to spring for a little more $$ you can always go with their Eagle line and get this one with a color display and higher resolution for $250.
