The cool thing about the M1C was the diversity of manufacturers.
That’s a bucket list gun for sure. If my luck finally hit, historical weaponry would be the reason I end up on one of those “Curse of the Lottery” shows.
There are a few manufacturers who are building “modern” carbines based on the original design, but I hear their quality is hit or miss, mostly miss.
My brother inherited an original WWII bring back from his Father-in-Law and says he wants to give it me, with mags and ammo. That was over three years ago and I still don’t have it. I suppose my brother is having a hard time letting go of it. Can’t blame him for that.
Once (if) I get it, the M1 Carbine will NOT be for sale.

I have an Inland M1C.

I have an Inland M1C. It has a dark patina and works fine. There is 1000 rounds and some 5, 15 and 30 round magazines. There may be a sling kit and a 1" butt pad for it. I put a recoil spring in it 20 years ago and it has been stored since then. If someone was interested enough, I could get a picture and some details.

mine is an Inland made in early 1944 - and it will kill another deer this year- It will not be sold- only passed down
When I saw your title I was thinking why did I open this. Just bought a S&W 28 and used all my “Gun Funds”. Then I saw that you want to buy one, I feel better that someone is in the same boat as me.
