Macaroni and Cheese

Seriously, I can’t make a good one… Does anyone have a recipe or a link to a good one? I’m not talking about some Tyler Florence/Emeril Food Network stuff. I’m talking about after church, meet in the fellowship hall, some Aunt’s secret recipe that make you go back for seconds.

I’ve tried about 4-5 different recipes and they’ve either been dry, greasy, or more gourmet than good.

eaisest one…boil noodles till done, set aside. scramble egg in a cup and poor over cool noodles, add cheese (ur choice or a combo. of diff.) top dish off with milk or a mix of milk and half/half. Bake on 350.

Right JMH… make sure you season it some or it is bland,… oh, and use Hoop cheese.

Heart Stopper Macaroni( 'cause if you didn’t need a heart cath before
you will after eating this, but ■■■■ it good)
Take two boxes of Kraft macaroni and cheese(the blue box), boil the noodles until they are barely able to be cut with a fork, drain and put in crock pot, put crock pot on high, add both foil packs of cheese sauce, slice 1 brick sized block of sharp cheddar and add to crock pot, slice one small pack of velvetta and add to crock pot, add heaping spoonful of butter, blacken the top with black pepper and stir twice, pour enough milk to barely cover noodles, stir and add whole milk every 5 to 10 minutes for about 2 hours, keep center barely bubbling, you will be shocked how much milk will be soaked up in the noodles.
all your friends will call you before every gathering to make sure you’re the one bringing the mac and cheese.

DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!
The harder you work, the luckier you’ll get.

You gotta add a healthy squeeze of good ole fashioned yeller mustard to whatever recipe you use!

Ok, Biscuit… I’m going for your’s this weekend… I’ll update with review and pictures.

I’m also going to try Ruff’n recipe too, because it’s looks disastrously good.

That does sound good, I do mine similar, but need to try the evaporated milk.

bgf, thanks that is what i was talking about.also some half & half added too it will step it up a notch as emeril says.

Any of the above sound pretty good. Somethin’ you might think about is cookin up a pound of bacon nice an hard then crumble and add to any of the above. Really adds some good flavor and texture to your Mac an Cheese. Grandma’s Favorite…

I am all about cheap and easy… (my ex-girlfriends stand as testimony)… So I take the “set it and forget it” approach to my mac-n-cheese

This is the recipe (if you can call it that), that I use when making a large portion for gatherings. Doctor it up if you want… bacon, pepper, salt, etc. I generally, just make it plain though. Large, soft noodles, and creamy cheese sauce.
