Just made these up but have not had a chance to throw most of them at fish. Curious to see what opinions/suggestions this group has. I promise I will not get offended. I have been experimenting with different blade sizes/colors, bead colors and sizes, and different hooks/jig heads. Thanks for the help!
Only if you can make me one with a straight line tie…
The top right bait is a bullet weight flattened onto the wire with a bench vise. I am trying to get that effect but on the wire so I can use a weedless hook.
Nice job mate, let us know how they do,I may have to order me some supplies to make some.
You provide the hook/jig head you prefer and i’ll make you some as long as you provide good reports of what you catch/don’t catch. It would help speed up the experimentation process for me.
Winter can’t get over fast enough! If I was a fish, I think they’d be delicious.

How heavy are they? Will they get down to the bottom in current? I always worry about line twist with inline spinners, do you rig them with a swivel to leader?

The ones with the weedless/weightless hooks all weigh in the 1/8 oz range. The ones above the ruler are roughly 1/4 oz and up. I limit line twist by making sure that the blade doesn’t overpower the bait if that makes sense. That is why the weightless hooks have blades that produce less torque. The bigger blades will require weighted swimbait hooks to prevent twisting. I could do swivels but I prefer to just make the bait in the manner described above because IMO when the blade is matched to the bait you get better action on the fall because the bait is not overpowering the blade and vice versa.
Paul, I’m an avid tackle maker & fly tyer, and have done some similar things in the past. Such spinners can certainly be very productive at times and for many species.
I like what you’ve done, and they should all work!

Do you have a Hagens wire former? What do you use to make R Bends for spinner baits? I am not getting mine as “tight” as id like them if that makes sense. Help would be appreciated!
Paul, I don’t form my own wire frames for spinnerbaits, I buy them wholesale 1000 per size.
Only frames I form are for spoons, and use a little jig that I made.
I’ve thought about buying one of those Hagen’s wire formers but never did it.
I have a small tool that makes haywire twist ends, so when I’ve made inline spinners I bought straight wire that had and eye formed in one end & all I had to do was make the loop in the other end.
