I am glad Long Enuff and I have shown you that grilled fish and vegtables can be good and better for you too. Make you stay around longer so you can catch more fish.

Yeah, we ate some cuda and phin. I know that my family and I need to eat more off the grill and more veggies, but I love what I love.

Yes Penny, LE’s family and mine eat cuda. We eat only the small ones, if we catch a small one. They are actually quite good. Now, Jazzed will not have anything to do with them. I guess he won’t because of the possible disease/poison you can get.
They are a nice white, somewhat flaky meat. I have only had them fried…[:0]

Penny they really do eat the small cudas and swear they are good. I told them they could keep the grey meat ; ) They gave me a hard time about the King Mack Steaks I had last year but my brother made up three marinades and we grilled Mahi King and Cobia and all were good.
I can still taste the tuna long enuff made recently melt in yo mouth great stuff.
What gray meat??
That’s fine though, more meat for us!

girl at work says 'cuda is “artificial waahoo”…lol…she says the fish look the same…guess f she tells me they catch a 35lb hoo and offers me some meat I better ask to see the fish first?? lol…that might be a bit of a big one to sample… love me some hoo though…thats my favorite!!!

You release the big cudas and not wahoo, right??? I think I read that correctly.
We’ve fished with a fella several times offshore this season, and he takes a small bat to those pesky cudas… Only snagged two so far - both were last Saturday, and not too terribly big.
I’ll admit that Jack “tricked” me into eating me small cuda years ago by telling me it was wahoo that he’d already marinated… He fried it up, and I wolfed it down, saying it was some of the best wahoo I’d ever had. He didn’t fess up til weeks later…

Yeah, we only release the bigger cudas. If we happen to release a wahoo, it isn’t on purpose!!
Cuda ain’t bad is it?? Now, if we have a good bit of fish already in the box, we usually will not keep the cudas. But, if it is a slooow day…

Cuda is pretty okay! Actually, it’s pretty darned good so long as they’re little, saturated with lemon juice, breaded and fried!
I’m really looking forward to tomorrow - thanks much for the well wishes. Gonna be interesting as Daddy and his friend have never been offshore. I imagine Jack and I will be quite busy as it’ll just be the 4 of us. Penny and Donnie are out as her Daddy is coming to go spade fishing with them tomorrow. I’d love to have another experienced offshore angler on board, but we’ll make do with what we have and have a grand ole time.

Cuda??? Oh my, tell me it aint so!!! eeeeshhhh, bleeeeckkkkk, yuuuuuuuckkkkkkk!!! I don’t even let them over the side of the gunwale into the boat, more or less in the fish box, more or less my tummy, just too dang nasty,slimy,stinky for me!
You do know the best way to filet them tho don’t ya? With a pair of counter rotating 3 bladed knives spinning at 3000 rpms powered by 300 hp each!!
