Hey everyone, I was just wondering how close in the dolphin run? I’ve been 50+ miles off with a buddy’s boat, but I have a 20’ Pioneer and was wondering if there is any way I could get into some of them next time they’re in. Thanks!!!

You have a Pioneer,a simple Google search on this site and you will find your rig can go anywhere, anytime you want…
The sportys will be following you close when the weather turns just so you can knock down the chop and theycan make it home safely…
Sure just make sure that you have adequate fuel reserves. Of course weather/wave conditions will have the final vote and your first 10-15 miles will tell you if you can continue on out. First few times pair up with someone else or join up with someone at a preset location. Last tidbit: always watch the weather during the day. You can get into the fish and forget about the weather and could end up with a bad ride home. If you start seeing small whitecaps and you’re 60 miles offshore, turn your bow to your course back and see if the waves are against you. If so you should start home then. You have a lot great offshore fishermen from Charleston and you should be able to find someone to ‘big brother’ you a few times next spring. I fish primarily out of Edisto. If you’re down that way, PM me. Be happy to pair up.
You are welcome to follow us off. We typically start running consistent offshore trips from the harbor after mother’s day. Pm me when we get closer to remind me.
