Just me and the mechanic (moreso a test run to see if engines were fit - fishing was just my little surprise to the mechanic, as I headed to the ledge, lol).
Alarms went off before we passed the jetties, but no worries, I have a certified yamaha master tech aboard and no more alarms after this. Just had to run 4000 or less rpms, b/c engine overheating. Getting new impellers tomorrow - totally stoked.
At 145 ft, something caught my eye in the water, followed what I saw north, looked at gps and looked at what I saw and it was very cool, figured where I could get the ledge to meet this thing, what the hell, maiden voyage, let’s drop a couple lines before any more alarms go off.
Before I could get the third line out, in less than 5 min of fishing BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!

Fish weighed in at 62 lbs on Monday.
The wahoo was followed by muchos dorados. Didn’t hit 200 lbs of meat, like I did in the maiden voyage on my scout, but, technically speaking, this is a mechanical trial run. Next weekend it is on.
