Went off for the first time yesterday. Headed out and once we figured out how to rig the ballyhoo, started fishing around 120’. We were pulling 4 line’s. Within the first 15 minutes we hooked up with a Sail and actually got him to the boat with a quick pic and release. Then we picked at the Mahi the rest of the day and ended up with 10. All the Mahi were caught around 135’. We only had one break off because the line was twisted really bad. All fish caught on 20lb mono too!!!
Looks like you had a good day. Hint: it is illegal to remove a billfish from the water unless it is legal size AND you are keeping it.
