Main Cooper River

Got out of work early and caught last hour of outgoing and 1st hour of incoming tide. First SLAM of the year plus one of those slimy wiskered critters. Caught several trout, a small red and small flounder in 3 to 5 feet of water in area with sandy and rocky bottom. Got caught on some oysters and when I got up to the bait, saw a nice over slot red nosed up to the stuck bait…smh. Anyway, I used trout eye with curly tail grubs and paddle tails. They did not want it to sit, they did not want it fast. Only got bites on a very slow steady retrieve (dragging it). When they hit though, they ate it. Slack tide produced 0 bites, except for the catfish back in a creek. Tight lines everyone!

Nice!

You helped an 11 yr old catch a fish today. They were right where you said they were. 3-5 ft . Caught on froz shrimp

That’s awesome! I have only been fishing the area for a short time and spend most of my trips eliminating water it seems. It’s great to know that sharing a little pattern info helped you guys, especially a child. Your ■■■■■■■■ made my day!

Good stuff :sunglasses:
