Flying to Boston and driving the Maine coast starting Thursday. We have some stuff planned but also lots of time for adventure and rabbit trails. Any pro tips?

Portland is fun - get some steamer clams at J’s oyster and we liked the beer and other offerings at a distillery that since has been rebadged “liquid riot bottle company” or something like that. The booze is OK, but the beer was really something.
Lots of pretty places along the way, we drove the long way. If you make it far enough north, Acadia Ntl Park is awesome! I think the high temp last year was 71.
