Major Boat Help Needed

My father just bought a 94 Bumblebee. Took it out on the lake the other day and the 150 was powerful but…

  1. We couldnt get the trolling motor to work and the depth finder was wonky. Upon further inspection there are two sets of disconnected wires in the back that we assume hook up to the front trolling motor but arent sure. Not trying to just be hooking up random stuff and short something out
  2. The pole lights for fishing at night arent working either. Again, we assume that these are the disconnected cables
  3. There is a console switch labeled automatic and manual. Next to the switch is a nob labeled min-max but again we have no clue what it is for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need to PM me please do so. Trying to get the boat out ASAP.

Are you looking for someone to fix it for you or looking for advice?

  1. Trolling motor wire should be heavy gauge wire and run to the battery. Depth finder should be wired into a switch panel.
  2. Is there a switch? Are there wires connected to it?
  3. A pic of those would be awesome. A lot of times bilge pumps are on a three-way switch. Off/On/Auto

Im looking for whatever help i can get. Here are a couple of pics to assist my description

You need to start tracing wires. Start at switch. If 12 volts go to the next spot. Keep going until you find the problem. If no power at switch trace back to the battery.

Best thing to do is to cut the ends off those wires and use the correct connectors like heat shrink connectors – not regular wire connectors those corrode real bad

The last boat I owned, an early 90s bass tracker, had a switch on the console with manual and automatic above and below it. This was for the aerator/livewell pump…manual would run continuously, automatic would fill it to a certain level, shut off, then turn on again after so long

The auto/manual switch should be connected to the bilge pump !! The float switch is the auto position / the manual switch is the pump is on constant !! Just make sure to change the wire terminals to heat shrink terminals before you do anything and check wire that it is not breaking down or corroded !!
