S. 1386 passed the SC Senate today (yesterday).
The H. 4842 House version will just stay where it is, and the House will instead take up the S. 1386 bill now since the Senate’s adopted it. Please keep reminding your House Reps of why this bill is important.
It’s passing is not as important as our leaders understanding what the bill’s about- what we’re about- and what’s about to REALLY REALLY hurt us all if they don’t help us even with this little bit of attention to the issue from the state towards US Congress.
Senator Tom Davis, Representative Tim Scott and Representative Jay Lucas need to be thanked in addition to the bills’ original authors- Representatives Jeff Duncan and Mike Pitts. Then, thank the senate version authors- Campsen, Land and McGill. Then everyone on the Senate Fish, Game and Forestry Committee who voted unanimously to bring the Senate bill to the floor and get it passed- and don’t forget Senate Speaker Pro Tem McConnell.
Senator Campsen did an excellent job telling the Senate what the bill was about and why they should adopt it.
Thank em all, and keep letting your House Reps know you support S. 1386 until it passes the SC House…
In a word, keep hammering. We will too.
