I found a window sticker a couple years ago from a truck my dad bought back in 1975.
$3600
I am fragile. Not like a flower. But like a bomb.

Funny, I remember in 1969 we were standing in the showroom of L.T. Cobb Chevrolet in Brownsville, TX as my parents were looking at a new green station wagon. There was a silver w/red interior Corvette convertible in the showroom and my brother and I were begging my Dad to buy it instead of a wagon. My Dad had a 1952 MG TD at the time so he was at least interested so he walked over. He looked at it and then looked at the sticker and proclaimed, “The day I pay $5,000 for a car they can lock me up because I’ve lost my mind”. Man how times have changed. I paid right at $20,000 14 years ago for my 4-door Tundra. Can’t see ever buying a new car again.
YEPPERS ;; YOU WOULD HAVE HAD TO HAVE LIVED IN THOSE DAYS TO UNDERSTAND THE VALUE OF A DOLLAR ; TOO MANY TODAY GREWUP NOT KNOWING THAT VALUE !!
When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.

One of those things if you had a time machine and went back and bought a warehouse full of select vehicles and sold em today how much of a return you’d get. People now financing a new car/truck for 8-10 years. Crazy. Top of the line pick up $70,000+
Wasn’t sure what a 52 MG td was so had to look it up. Bringing good money on Hemingway. Beautiful car.
AS LONG AS FOLKS CONTINUE TO PAY THE ASTRONOMICAL PRICES THEY’LL NEVER COME DOWN:angry: BUY USED OR DRIVE THE OLD ONES TILL THEY MELT DOWN…

When i married in 69 i traded my new wife’s 66 Tempest for a 67 L88 427 Vet with both top and side pipes and gave $1500 to boot!
Wow, how this sticker looks like? I am interested to see
Today you would need $18k to = the purchasing power of your $3,600 in 1975.
Truck prices have sure gone up more than inflation adjusted $
