How far in advance can I make bait balls with bait binder? Weeks? Days? Hours? Before the quality of the bait degrades?

I usually make them up before we hit the water. No more than a day ahead usually. If you make them up days before you use the bait balls, place them on a board or something in an open area out of the rain. If not they will spoil and smell like ammonia.
You can make em up ahead of time and freeze them in freezer bags too
They prepare very quickly. Use water from over the side of the boat. It can be done in 5 minutes between the landing and your shrimping spot.
