Whats you guys opinion on the two and which would be better?
I have neither, but I was looking at both of their websites. I only saw kits that you have to assemble on MPP (not sure if they sell something in one piece). This being said, a 19’6 carbon fiber MPP kit is $280 and a 20’ fiberglass stiffy is $300. You get a one piece pole compared to something that is four pieces for $20 bucks more. But I imagine the carbon fiber is lighter than the fiberglass? So do you want something lighter that has to be glued together or a one piece that is a little heavier?
What size boat are you pushing?
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught.
16ft flats boat. My last stiffy was the 20 ft hybrid thats 600 and came with the boat. Looking at another option is all.
I own a Mangrove. It is MUCH lighter than a fiberglass PP, with a lot less flex. Can’t say I have any complaints. As long as its assembled correctly I don’t see any disadvantages to multiple pieces. If the worst happens, you can replace a section versus an entire pole.
That being said a Hybrid is far nicer IMO. But at $600 it’s supposed to be.
