Just wanted to know if anyone has ever cuaght a Mangrove Snapper here in Charleston, my five year old caught two of them in Ellis Creek. I’m from Miami and knew it was one as soon as I saw it.
Yes, this year has been a relative bumper crop of them. Pretty cool to see.

Caught several in Beresford creek on live shrimp under the sliding cork. All around 8 or 9 inches. I have not caught them offshore. Where do they go and grow?
