Anybody seen either? Haven’t been out in a couple of weeks and just wondering what the bait situation is.
Thanks

My buddy’s wife refers to a single menhaden as a “manhaden” – good stuff right there. I’m sure there’s still plenty of bait out there – we can usually catch big mullet for at least a few more weeks, and I saw a decent amount of mullet and shrimp (I didn’t personally see any menhaden, though) last weekend.

Had finger mullet scattered in there as well but nothing over 5". Looking again tonight for fishing this weekend.

IOP surf near Wild Dunes is thick with GIANT mullet, in the troughs. Some are in the 14"-16" range. They are well within cast net range.
