Manta Ray 14...WOW!!

So, I did a demo this morning with the Tarpon 140, Manta Ray 14 and Ride 135. I LOVED THE MANTA 14!!!. The boat was very responsive, tracked well, seemed faster than the Tarpon 140, and the seat was awesome! The stability was not as good, obviously, as the Ride 135, but I had no problem standing up in this boat and paddling. My only concern (which was not an issue today since the wind was very calm) is that the boat has a lot of free-board, which gives it a much higher profile than the ride and tarpon. I could see this being a pain in the rear if the wind really picks up, although the high sides do make this a very dry boat.

Don’t take my word for it, come try it out for yourself. Mention this thread in the month of May at Time Out, and I will give you one free rental on this boat.

If the wallet permits, I might foresee a new boat in my future!

I have one and really like it. I call it the battleship!

Nice looking yak for sure. One of the ones I considered before going with the Tarpon 140.
