Headed down to Marathon for a week of serious fishing with some spring break action and due to the weather it turned into a week of serious spring break action with a little fishing… However, no complaints. Made it out to the hump two days and had our way with more blackfin than I have ever seen. First day we had all of the heavy gear on board and ended up with 20 or so tuna and about a 100lb shark caught on a cirlcle hook attached to one of the smaller tuners. Second day we left all of the 50 and 80lb braid at home and busted out the 10 and 12lb outfits. Have never had so much fun watching line peel of reels.
Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don’t tell them where they know the fish.
