Marathon FL charters help

Heading to Marathon for a vacation at the end of August. Looking to do a charter trip & wanted some advice from anyone here who have done one in Marathon or a place near by like Islamorada, FL.

  1. Can’t make up my mind on Inshore or offshore / reef. I would like to have some table fare so not sure if maybe offshore would be better for that. I will be the only one doing it & I will only have one day to devote to a charter trip. Any advice?
  2. Any suggestion on captains?
  3. Any other advice would be great. Might be a one time thing so I want it to count.

Check out Cpt Jeff Malone of Tarpon Time. We have used him every year we go to the Keys and he is awesome.

Try Captain Jack Carlson of Twoconchs charters out of marathon, went with him over the summer to a nearshore reef and limited out on mangroves. Try lazy days restaurant for cook your catch
