Look at where Jesus went to pick people. He didn’t go to the colleges; he got guys off the fishing docks.

We are leaving this afternoon to get half the trip done, then be in Islamorada around 1-2pm Saturday. I’ve been talking with a charter captain who purchased by friend’s sporty a while back, and he mentioned the dolphin bite has been pretty good quantity wise, but the size of them have been hit or miss. Grouper season is now also, and the bite has been really good as well. We plan on doing some trolling, but I love Jigging on the humps, and fishing for yellowtail Snapper and Muttons down that way. Every year I go, I learn something new that makes fishing that much better. We are taking a pinfish trap this year, so we won’t have to look for live bait every morning.

All went as planned. Left CHS Thursday 5/25 around 2200 after a planned 2100 departure. I spent an hour searching for my truck keys lol. Guess I was a bit excited about leaving and pondering about if I had packed everything for 9 days of fun. We started making our way southbound 95 with a long 12 drive, we made it into Marathon around 1030 Friday morning. Completed a quick look over around the boat and took her to the ramp, with lines wet by 1130 and our first fish in the boat by noon. All slingers throughout the week caught between 230-400 fishing under the birds. No larger fish for us this year but still fun only running 10miles offshore. Another successful trip to the Keys, even an autograph from Fish Monsters Moses who mates on the Premium Time. We made it back to CHS safe Saturday evening around 1900 6/3. No trailer issues thanks God.

Now I’m really Jonesing for my trip… 2 days offshore 2 days in, trying to target a permit this time around and fish offshore for some meat to bring back.
Did you see any Tuna?
