Sorry it took so long to reply. Yes we took the boat. Great trip except for a flat in Miami on the way home.weather was great. fishing was awesome.only thing was no mahi-mahi. Did get a 30 pound king. A lot of snappers and a few groupers.now it’s back to fishing in dark water lol. Happy Mother’s Day

We will be in Islamorada come this Saturday morning, leaving Friday evening and going to drive as far as we can before we stop to pass out.
Hopefully the mahi bite will get better down their, but I’m really looking forward to doing some Tarpon fishing with friend down that way as well. We are hauling a 25 sportsman with us. What did you catch all the snapper and grouper on? how deep?

You were there two weeks and no dolphin? Has it gotten that bad that bad?
Weather offshore only let me troll a few times just wasn’t lucky to find them. They are there. I leave here around 2 and take my time . Make it down to ft. Pierce to the first or second rest area on the turnpike and take a nap for 2 hours. Get down to marathon around 5am or so have some breakfast put the boat in the drink and fish until I can get into the rental. Hey Ez a place on sisters is awesome. The bait is right at the mouth on the flats hope you can throw a net

We are leaving this afternoon to get half the trip done, then be in Islamorada around 1-2pm Saturday. I’ve been talking with a charter captain who purchased by friend’s sporty a while back, and he mentioned the dolphin bite has been pretty good quantity wise, but the size of them have been hit or miss. Grouper season is now also, and the bite has been really good as well. We plan on doing some trolling, but I love Jigging on the humps, and fishing for yellowtail Snapper and Muttons down that way. Every year I go, I learn something new that makes fishing that much better. We are taking a pinfish trap this year, so we won’t have to look for live bait every morning.
