**** March Tournament Results ****

Windy conditions bring big fish to the scales.
Midlands Striper Club held its monthly Lake Murray tournament out of Acapulco, SC on March 18, 2017. 38 teams participated in the event bringing 57 striped bass to the scales weighing a total of 480.91 pounds with an 8.44 pound average. 26 teams were able to bring a full two fish creel to the scales.
Finishing in first place with a total weight of 41.57 pounds was Team Catch 22 captained by Terry Caulder from Little Mountain, SC, along with Jacob Caulder from Little Mountain, SC and Larry Martin from Chapin, SC. Team Catch 22 also won the Justin Christopher Big Fish Award sponsored by the Nichols Store with a 21.80 pound Striper.
Finishing in second place with a total weight of 29.24 pounds was Team Fin-Tastic captained by Drew Arsi from Monetta, SC along with Thomas Adams from Ridge Spring, SC.
Finishing in third place with a total weight of 24.50 pounds was Team Fishin’ Fools captained by Weston Thomas from Lexington, SC along with Matthew Blackwell from Lexington, SC.
Finishing in eleventh place with a total weight of 15.55 pounds was Team Knot IV Shore.
Finishing in eighteenth place with a total weight of 14.09 pounds was Team Bee Guy.
Smallest creel went to Team Landlocked with a total weight of 5.11 pounds.
Lady Angler Award went to Tee Meetze from Team Shenanigans.
The Palmetto State Armory Fishing Outpost prize went to Team Landlocked.
Next Tournament is scheduled for April 15, 2017. Lines in at 6:30 a.m. Lines out at 2:30 p.m. Weigh in starts at 3:00 p.m. at Acapulco.</font id=“Comic Sans MS”>

Outstanding event! Probably the best weighin overall I’ve seen in my eight years in the club. Congrats to the top placing Boats as well as the Many folks that had a great day of fishing. One question, what was the total number of boats in the tournament?

38 boats total …
