Marine Grade Bearing/Motor Grease...

Is there such a thing for packable bearings? Is one better then the other? Can I use the same grease for bearings for the grease ports on my moter as well? I have one of those hand pump style grease guns btw

This is what I use:

I use it on the bearings and ports.

I have great luck using yamaha grease…not sure who makes it for them…

Quite a few companies make “marine” grease. I have been using a marine grade grease made by liquid wrench. Happy so far.

Just looked up this aqua shield, ordered a few tubes as well. I’m in the fertilizer business and will put it through its paces in an extremely corrosive environment.

This is what I have been using. I wonder if I should start using something water proof instead of water resistant. I grease my fittings on everything often.

</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”>There is always a balance between quality of material and maintenance schedule. I have yet to meet a guy who stays AHEAD of maintenance. Probably a lot safer to try to use the best product you can afford and then try your best to keep up with a reasonable maintenance schedule.

The word waterproof is wishful thinking.

until a chemist certifies to me that there’s a difference, I will assume that ‘marine’ grease is a labeling trick to extract a higher price

Peapod - I got a laugh out of your post.
