Marine Radio

New Garmin unit with all new Garmin electronics, new antenna . Receives just fine, does not send, pushed mic to talk , no drop in battery voltageI do not have a RF meter.
I’m sure it’s a connection problem, I used one of those pinch type connectors, with a center pin to go to the wire. Any suggestions ?

TRY A PORTABLE EMERGENCY ANTENNAE?
REPLACE THE CONNECTOR WITH A SOLDER CONNECTOR

IF I RESPOND IN ALL CAPS, ITS NOT ON PURPOSE, AND I AM NOT YELLING

Took apart all NEMA 2000 connections, put di-electrical grease on all connections. I believe the O-ring on the crimp style radio connector was not properly in place. I remade connection works fine now. Off season I will switch to the solder type connection.

Thanks. For your help

Which Garmin VHF? 100, 200, 210 or ???
Pretty sure that on top left or top right a TX comes up when press the mic button. Does that happen?

SeaPro 220CC

Dixie Craft-custom flats boat

Garmin VHF 110, the TX “light” does come on in fact to indicate its transmitting

After checking all NEMA connections and radio coax cable, coating them with di-electrical grease transmits fine now . I can get repeat backs from sea tow. I think the problem was the coax cable connection.
