Marine Surveyor recommendations in Brunswick GA?

Hi all,

Saturday I’m going to inspect/sea trial a nice restored 23 Contender Open, hull is a 97 with an 07 250 4-stroke Yamaha. Getting a mechanic to run the compression #'s and hours on the motor, but would like suggestions on a marine surveyor in that area to inspect the hull. Anyone have any recommendations on surveyors in that area? I hate to just randomly pick someone off the internet…

I used one listed here but different area. I would have preferred a “recommendation” from someone also but wasn’t available.

Thanks, I ended up going with a guy off that site as we’ll. I’ll post how it goes if he does a good job.

Making sure they are SAMS or NAMS certified is a good start. The link that Reelescape posted is for SAMS surveyors.

I know you’ve already found a guy, George, I just wanted to go on record in general about making sure to use accredited surveyors.

Thanks for the advice , I did go with a fully accredited surveyor. Wish me luck, I want this boat to come out with flying collars!
